OUR HISTORY

The modest beginnings of Tempered Air Services started long before it’s inception by founder and President Mike Zissimos. Mike began his career in the pipe trades (Commercial Heating & Air Conditioning) in the late 1980’s. Working under an experienced retired journeyman while attending college, he was taught not only the technical aspect of the trade, but early era common courtesy for the customer. This Journeyman left an impression with Mike that he still carries with him today.

In the early nineties Mike joined the Pipe Fitters Union Hall with the guidance of his Journeyman. As an apprentice he began working with some of the finest journeyman in the state learning all aspects of the trade. Employed by large heating and air conditioning contractors he gained experience but could see the contractors moving away from their roots with customers. Contractors had begun to focus more on sales & sales techniques, and less on customer relationship.

The message of “don’t complain unless you have a resolution to go with it” as learned from his first journeyman, Mike incepted Tempered Air Services in the fall of 2002. What started as a one man show grew rapidly into a full service heating and air conditioning company. “Tempered Air is the culmination of old school ethics coupled with today’s training. Our goal is not to be the biggest; our goal is simply to be the best.”
–Mike Zissimos, President Tempered Air Services

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to maintain an excellent working relationship with every customer large or small. We do this by maintaining our growth, as not to outstrip our delivery, and customer relationships. Grow profitably, but never so that we can’t sleep at night. And to not only remember where we began but to pass on the experience, morals, and principles of those who were here before us.

COMPANY INFORMATION
